We began Primo Foods in 2013 with the simple goal of providing the highest quality meat products across India. We set up our factory near Gurgaon- not too far from New Delhi - and imported the world’s best machinery from Germany and Australia to ensure top-notch quality.
We believe that high quality ingredients make for nutritious and delicious meals. In March 2016, Primo Foods launched LionFresh.com: an online website with all our products. LionFresh.com delivers hygienically and safely packed high quality meats and seafood directly to your front door.
With our in-house brands La Carne Cuts, Howdyji and LionFresh.com, Primo Foods is one of India's fastest growing, food processing businesses. While we pat ourselves on the back for what we are doing, we've got lots of plans ahead, and are busy researching ways to reach more cities, more families, and more hungry people all the time.

Born in Belgium, brought up in London, and now making in India, Bharat – our Co-Founder and Managing Director – brings expansive expertise to Primo Foods Pvt Ltd. He was previously Head of Business Development for a global wind energy firm in India and started his career in the work-hard, play-hard scene of London's investment banking center at Merrill Lynch and Campbell Lutyens. Bharat's favorite city in the world is London and he's a serious streaky bacon addict - yum!
Paul attended Deakin University where he graduated with a Masters in Accounting. He then worked as head of Logistics for one of the largest meat trading houses in Australia: Fayman International Private Ltd. Paul recently moved to India, where he currently works as Director and Head of Sales for Primo Foods.
In his time off, Paul is either eating smoked baby back ribs in London, or finding a way to do so.
Josh, our co-founder, brings a ton of experience to his title as Co-Founder of Primo Foods Pvt. Ltd. He has worked in the export meat industry since 2005, and knows everything about the process of manufacturing products: ask him about rendering, offal collection, boning room operations (no giggling, please) and he’ll answer with precision.
In all fairness though, he’d rather be eating a turkey-cheese toastie in NYC.
David Grajzman, our third co-founder, is also a Director at Aspen Casings Pvt Ltd. David relocated to India after working in the financial industry (he spent two years at AMP capital as an Analyst). Even though he has now returned back to Australia after three years in India his Hindi is still pretty good.
Tel Aviv is director David’s favorite place in the world, and a smoked chicken breast is his ideal companion.
Born in 1963, Marco – our head of production + research and development – brings a wealth of talent to the table. He holds the official title of a Master Butcher and is an expert meat technologist. Having worked in several cities in Australia – with plenty of relaxation stints on the Gold Coast in between -- Marco’s expertise forms the backbone of Primo Foods.
He is specific about his favorite dish: a rib filet steak with spatzle (Swiss style home made noodles).
Sanjeev Barua, our Head of Production has worked with some of India’s most popular food joints: he was with Wimpy’s for ten years, and Pizza Corner for five. With this impressive history, he brings great expertise to Primo Foods, and has an important hand in ensuring the top quality standard we strive to maintain day after day.
Maybe he’s biased, but his favorite product is La Carne’s chicken chorizo sausage.
